DNN keeps moving the Resgistration Settings area and it's getting annoying. When I upgraded to v06.00.00, settings moved from the User Account module to the "Site Settings" page on a User Accounts tab. Now I upgraded to v06.02.03 and the User Accounts tab vanished. after searching all over, I realize it's back on the User Accounts module under the Manage button.

Problem is, not all the settings are there. Where is the setting for Registration Mode (ie: None, Verified, Public, Private)?

Ben,

these settings are (and have always been) in the Site Settings.

Best wishes

Michael,

I appreciate the response, however some details would have been helpful. I kept digging and finally found where is was moved to. For anyone else looking for this setting, here are screen captures of the previous location (v06.00.00+) and it's new location (v06.02.03+).

Previous "User Registration" Mode Setting:

New "User Registration" Mode Setting:

Hope this helps others out there that might be confused.

Ben,

sorry for not being detailled enough.

I can't speak for the development/UX team here (as I am not a member of these groups), but I change the location of settings for my modules sometimes, or I re-arrange a site tree, or move dishes in my kitchen as it seems to be more logical on another place. Of course, other people who expect things at the old places are getting annoyed as they have to search a bit - but it the end it is a matter of use and getting used to it (which is the right moment to think about some re-order ;-)).

Best wishes
Michael

Michael,

While I do understand the need to re-organize. My main complaint is the lack of information regarding the changes. I looked all over and found absolutly zero documentation on this change. This wasn't a "major" upgrade. From version 05.xx.xx to 06.xx.xx I understand there being significant changes. But if whole seactions are going to be moved, at minimum they need to add that information in the release notes and let people know. Such a change is not what I would normally expect in a 06.02.02 -> 06.02.03 upgrade.
