Hello,

I posted an update request in Gemini and it's status has been changed to "won't fix" - I think probably because of a misunderstanding of the use case. Is there any sort of appeals process? The issue is here:

http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/V...

I am just recommending that a "module css" field be added to the core module settings and, when specified, that class be added to the outer div wrapping the module. Right now, admins can style a module by referring to its module ID in their portal css file, but, to style multiple modules the same way, they'd have to add a reference for every single such module using its module ID.

As an example, right now, this module's outer div's class is "DnnModule DnnModule-DNN_Forum DnnModule-2108". To style this, then, I can either style all forum modules, or, just this module. Wouldn't it make sense to let portal admins be able to add a general class to any forum modules they want? I could absolutely see this being incredibly helpful for the links, console, and announcements modules, for example. I know you can do this by making separate containers, but, for very minor differences, that seems really cumbersome.

DotNetNuke is supposed to be a framework, so, I would think that kind of flexibility at the portal administrator level would be looked well upon. I know this is a trivial issue, but, I do think it should eventually be added. It also seems like an easy fix.

Thanks,

Mike
