hello,

i made some major change in my website and i am waiting for the storage company to check if the CPU High usage is still continue :

i have two websites and i sotre them in the structure :

rootDirectory\  - the first website,

rootDirectory\PongoAdmin\Website - the second website.

instead of using two websites with 2 DB's ( one is for the mangment of the other website ), i created parent portal and now i am using sone websites wih one DB with 2 portals.

it's strange, the storage company says that before this change the CPU got to 30%-40% of 8-16 Core, it's sound very high to me, maybe the last change will resolve the issue, i am waiting for the storage company to check if the problem solved.

i will update.

thank you,

adi damty

hello,

the problem was the combination of the two websites :

the first website was in : httpdocs\ folder,

and the second website was in httpdocs\AdminWeb\ folder,

i think what caused the high CPU Usage problem was the two files : httpdocs\web.config, httpdocs\AdminWeb\web.config.

instead of the websites ( with two different codes ) and two DB's ( for each website ),

i am now using one website with one DB and 2 portals ( one is portal parent ) - problem solved.

thank you,

adi damty

even if you setup a second website as a child site within in the same DNN installation (www.mysite.com and www.mysite.com/admin), both need to reside in the same IIS website and share web.config and all other files.
