I'm getting an error in Page Management:

Message: DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: 'drpSkin' has a SelectedValue which is invalid because it does not exist in the list of items. Parameter name: value ---> System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: 'drpSkin' has a SelectedValue which is invalid because it does not exist in the list of items. Parameter name: value at System.Web.UI.WebControls.ListControl.set_SelectedValue(String value) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Pages.View.BindTab(Int32 tabId) in c:\work_projects\mintz\www\DesktopModules\Admin\Tabs\Tabs.ascx.cs:line 723 at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Pages.View.CtlPagesNodeClick(Object sender, RadTreeNodeEventArgs e) in c:\work_projects\mintz\www\DesktopModules\Admin\Tabs\Tabs.ascx.cs:line 311
And it's because the skin path is absolute: /Portals/_default/Skins/MySkin/my_file.ascx instead of global: [G]Skins/MySkin/my_file.ascx

I stepped through the code, and found that the page management dropdowns have values of the form "[G]Skins/..." so the attempt to set the selected value fails
This happened as a result of clicking "Copy Design to Children" in the parent tab.  The parent tab's SkinSrc is global.  Why does this happen.
I should note that this is a skin that I developed myself, and I started using it before actually installing it, i.e. I just put the files there and started using them.  Later on I packaged up the files and installed it.  That could be a clue.
TIA,
Joel

Try the following (worked in DNN 6.2.5):

  1. Login as admin
  2. Go to Page Management
  3. Select parent page from the tree
  4. Click "Copy selected Skin to Childpages" below the skin drop down under "Appearence" section

This will reapply the skin and hopefully fix your problem.
