Something weird going on with 6.2.4

I'm testing upgrade from 6.1.5 to 6.2.4 and find that the header tag now includes xml:lang, lang and xmlns attributes, which is great because I'd been adding those manually in the past.

However, as soon as I go to a page with a telerik control on it (settings page, login or html editor etc), those attributes show as plain text at the top of the page. When I inspect the page source, I find that the head tag has been replaced.

I'm not 100% certain. but it appears that Telerik takes over the head tag and puts its own attributes in there in IE, or wipes the attributes and puts a link to a stylesheet in the head.

In any case, this is stuffed up.

I can get past it for now by setting the new attributes injector to visible=false. Just seeing if I'm the only person who has noticed this very obviousl flaw,

Regards
Rob

I haven't seen it on my test install yet, did you make sure to use proper version of jQuery and jQueryUI (if you are using CDN, the link in Host Settings may still point to an older version.

This turned out to be due to some code I've always had in default.aspx that worked fine up until this release. I don't know why it interferes with this html head tag injection feature in 6.2.4, but it certainly does.

This is the sort if thing I had in there:

<% if (Request.IsAuthenticated & !DotNetNuke.Security.PortalSecurity.IsInRoles("SuperUser")) {%>do something<% } %>

To get around the issue, I've converted it all to VB and moved it into the skin files.

However, if someone knows why this would work in DNN 6.1.5 and break in DNN 6.2.4, then I'm keen to know.

Regards
Rob

oh, and it only breaks the head tag when a Telerik UI control is on the page, e.g. on the login page or when editing content.

I were also looking for the same problem's solution and find out http://www.dnncreative.com/Forum/tabi...

e.g. I have put <meta name="date" content="2007-05-25" /> in it and it rendered correctly
