Can I add values to the drop down list of this control beyond the loading of the portal root and subdirectories?  I have a module that uses the control on the edit user control and I want to have a central directory location above the portal directory paths so that the control has at least one CENTRAL repository shared among portals.  Is this possible? I have seen a few posts where others have asked the question, but I have never seen the answer posted...if that answer is, No you can;t do it.

Anthony,

what about using something like this to share files between different portals?

Best wishes
Michael

Hello Michael,

I am mostly inclined to code things myself, if that is what is required.  The fact that such a DNN module, DNNGlobalStorage, exists leads me to believe that there is no configuration of this control that would allow for the seeding in of a shared directory between portals.  Looks like I may have to stick my nose into urlcontrol.ascx.cs to see if I can customize it to allow for a central repository of files between portals.

thanks,

~aw
