Hi

I have successful added Arabic language pack to my portal and translated the content into Arabic via the language page after enabling content localisation in the host settings

And in the process of manually translating the actual content.

All  the back-end without being publishe.

But lately have experience very high CPU usage (100%) to the extent the CPU gets stuck and have to kill the IIS Worker Process to restart the portal

I installed the Red Gate ASP.NET / IIS Profiler and discovered the "Hot" issues that eat up most of the CPU Time  are the TabID = language= en-US

Related to:

dbo.GetModulePermissionsByTabID
dbo.GetModuleSettings
dbo.GetTabModuleSettings

Will this issue be resolved once published?

Appreciate any feedback

if no tabid is provided, all tabs are returned.
You should streamline your database (eventlog table and schedule history as well as truncating transaction log and shrinking database files. Next make sure to use heavy caching in DNN Host Settings, this should reduce calls to the database.
Are you using latest version of DNN, there had been some performance improvements in DNN 6.2.3/6.2.4.

I have 6.2.4 CE on a SQL Web Edition

4 core Xeon with 4 GB RAM 2008 Standard Win R2

all on one DNN installation.

I have cleaned all the logs and on heavy cache.

yet the problem is driving me crazy.

I noticed most of the pages, translated or not do not have a tabid, just a page name.

Maybe that is the problem

the problem is as such. the CPU starts with zero builds up to 10% then 20%  hovers back to 15 and so on until it reaches the 100% and it gets stuck, Till i Kill it and it goes back again live without a hitch but with a much lower CPU

Every page needs a tabid, this sounds like a severe issue. Please check tabs table in your database.

I just checked all tabs in the tabs table, all have an ID, both cultures have the same number of Tabs.

I can not disable the friendly url, as some modules do not work without the friendly URLs

The tabs ID do not appear in the url. I am not using any url rewriter, only the core DNN friendly url setting

I feel helpless as the site has been translated and the actual content is being manually translated as well. The site with two cultures look great.

Although still in the back-end, yet to be published live
