Hi,

I am new to DotNetNuke and have just set up a new website. I have added the store module and i get an error when trying to do a checkout.

I have entered the billing address and selected the default "Ship the order to the billing address" and then when i click Continue this is the error I get.

The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "FK_Store_Addresses_Store_Customers".

Thanks

Mark

Hi,

Could you please specify which DNN version you use and which Store version is installed, I need this information to try to reproduce this error.

Gilles

It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Gilles,

If i register the user and select the registration address it works ok. Just a note I have set the checkout mode to userChoice.

Hi Mark,

I can't reproduce this error!? Could you please confirm that you have selected an impersonated account?

When the 'Checkout Mode' setting is defined as 'User Choice' or 'Always Anonymous', you have to define an impersonated user account to link orders because the Store module always require a user account for an order. First create a user account like 'Transient Customer' or anything you want. Go to Store Admin and select a role (most of times 'Registred Users') for the 'Impersonated Account' setting (just below the 'Checkout Mode'), select your new user account and click on 'Validate User', then save your Store settings.

This 'fake' user account allow you to retreive orders at a later time in the Store Admin module (Orders > Customers > select your fake account).
