Hi all

I'm pretty new to DNN but I'm used to .NET web applications. I just made a new fresh install of DNN7 with WebMatrix. Everything is OK, except that I can search the extension catalog. It didn't work either in DNN 6.X installed through MS WebPlatform Installed. This is using the localized Spanish (es-es) version, I don't know if it affects other versions too.

Debugging a little bit, I noticed the problem is that the search request is sent to an invalid URL, this one (shortened for clarity):

http://catalog.dotnetnuke.com%20/AppGalleryService.svc/Catalogs?$format=json&$callback=.....

See the %20 right after dotnetnuke.com. This of course stops the extension catalog from working.

Now, WHERE I can set this URL to fix the trailing space? I guess it should be buried somewhere, in the DB, any configuration file, whatever...

I found the bug in the meantime. :)

It's in the file:DesktopModules\Extensions\App_LocalResources\SharedResources.es-ES.resx in line 105.

<data name="feedEndpoint.Text">    <value xml:space="preserve">catalog.dotnetnuke.com</value>  </data>

It defines the feedEndPoint.Text and has a trailing white space after the .com. Once you remove it, everything works fine.

If I need to notify this little bug to some kind of localization/translation team please let me know.

Best regards,Carlos
