Hi,

I have been using DNN happily on a reseller host account for many years without any problems. Recently with version 6 andnow version 7 i am installing a new site and finding that I can access the site as it prompt for windows authentication. I have tried this with various big uk hosting companies that offer resseller accounts and they are all the same. What has changed within Dnn that is causing this issue.

dnn7 needs net framework v4, and dnn6 needs net framework 3.5, but for both the type of authentication should be set in your web config file in the root of the dnn install.

you did create and configure new install folders, didn't you?
