hi

I just setup DNN yesterday. I've been making a website based on the template.. but I just broke my image slider on the home page, and can't see what's wrong with it!!

It's probably something incredibly simple. my site is www.kyloss.com.au

The source for the banner is identical to the out-of-the-box code; with the exception of the img URL's being updated...

<div id="container">
<div id="example">
<div id="slides">
<div class="slides_container">
<a href="#" title="banner 1"><img width="980" height="380" src="/dnn/portals/0/Images/Cycler/img01.jpg" alt="Slide 1" /></a>
<a href="#" title="banner 2"><img width="980" height="380" src="/dnn/portals/0/Images/Cycler/img02.jpg" alt="Slide 2" /></a>
<a href="#" title="banner 3"><img width="980" height="380" src="/dnn/portals/0/Images/Cycler/img03.jpg" alt="Slide 3" /></a>
<a href="#" title="banner 4"><img width="980" height="380" src="/dnn/portals/0/Images/Cycler/img04.jpg" alt="Slide 4" /></a>
</div>
<div class="pagination_wrap">
<a href="#" class="prev">&nbsp;</a>
<a href="#" class="next">&nbsp;</a>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="clear"></div>
</div>

It would appear there is an issue with the transition you have chosen, in the code I see it as "scrollup" I believe it needs to be "scrollVert"

When you visited it, I must have JUST installed a new module.

I managed to remove the out-of-the-box slider, and add a custom module (dot net nuke content slider). However, when I try to set the height of the content slider, it fails to update the value (from auto to 380px). And in chrome, without a set height, the slider is only 30px high (effectively trashing the site).

Can i manually update this field in the database or something? It works nicely in firefox and IE.. just not chrome (and I am assuming this means safari too)

I had the same problem with that slider and I sloved it by setting the height for each image in the - portal.css file:

.wns-slideshow-image-1, .wns-slideshow-image-2, .wns-slideshow-image-3, .wns-slideshow-image-4 {height: ABCpx!important}

awesome hint franco.
i actually investigated further (rather than individually specifying each slider image's height), and applied the height to the module itself.
