Hi All,

I'm quite a long way through doing the integration of Events 6.1.0 with the DNN Journal. So far I've got it creating the neccesary content items, but now need to decide what Journal entries to create.

Has anyone got any views on which Journal items they want. I'm not saying I'll create them all, but I'm open to ideas. Ones I can think of are:-

  • New event
  • Event approval
  • User enrollment
  • Event updated

Any other thoughts?

Cheers
Roger

Currently the Journal supports 'eventcreate' and 'eventattend' so I've only added New Event and User Enrollment, and the associated deletions. I'll investigate adding new journal types going forward...

Roger,
I think the following would be the bog two for our use:

New Event Published (assuming this is also approved)
User Enrolled

I think Event updated would be nice but not necessary.

One related question - any short range plans to incorporate the new group concepts into the calendar? 90% of our use cases for an event calendar have to do with groups posting up events.

Hi Steve,

I'm hoping to get to Groups integration, but this is mostly being done over the holidays and next week is filled with much jollity...

If I get a day at it, it will be done.

Jollity is a good thing! Thanks for the update. We're planning to migrate to your event module for all of our user groups, so we're pretty excited about this project

Until then - Happy Holidays!
