My husband bought a collegiate baseball organization and along with the sale came a full website that we learned was built with DNN.  Exciting, okay, I can learn anything.  But I'm just drowning in a sea of information.  I'm sure tomorrow will be better than today, etc.

My first priority is to remove a few things from the website:

1.  an image that is in the page template (I don't even know if that is the correct word to use or not).  It's the area at the very top of each page.  Would someone kindly guide me to the area I need to work with?  Even the place to go read about it would be an achievement I can't seem to accomplish on my town!

Thanks kindly!

Can you tell us what version of DNN your site uses?

Is the image the site logo?

Have you seen the Wiki which is linked under the Resources menu on this page? Perhaps you can gain some understanding of your site by reading the Getting Started topic for your version of DNN.

regards,
Bill

I installed 7.0.0 into our hosting account, is that what you mean?

No I don't believe it's the logo.  Here's the website link: www.oneontaoutlaws.com

It's the Perfect Game image on the right hand side.  that's the one I want to remove.  The logo is on the left of the same page area.  (At least I believe so!)

I'll go and look in the area you suggest!  Thanks!

It sounds like the image you are referring to logo is the logo image.

This is changed in "Admin > Site Settings > Appearance > Logo"

Can you provide a link to the site and description of the image.

Here is a link to some documentation

Lisa,

Don't let the sea of information overwhelm you... there are plenty of people online to help you out and assist (one of the best features of DotNetNuke!) Also, if you're not on Twitter there is a great group of DotNetNuke developers there who are very helpful. Just hashtag #DotNetNuke in any questions you may have... and welcome to the community!

I took a look at your page in Chrome using the F12 tools and was able to get some information which may be helpful for you:

  • The image you want to remove is located on your server here: http://www.oneontaoutlaws.com/dnn/Portals/_default/Skins/outlaws3/images/header-object.png
  • Looks like the class you need to access is called " div.art-headerobject
  • This class can be located on line 713 of your skin.css file
  • With access to your site's files & folders you can find the above-mentioned "skin.css" file at this location: " Portals\_default\Skins\outlaws3 "

Keep in mind that the Video Library page (under resources in the red navigation bar on this site) is your best friend.

Hope this helps!
