I have installed the Media 4.3 module on DNN 6.2.5 and am getting an error when I select a video file which is .mp4.

Error: Media is currently unavailable.DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: folder ---> System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: folder at DotNetNuke.Common.Requires.NotNull(String argName, Object argValue) at DotNetNuke.Services.FileSystem.FileManager.GetFile(IFolderInfo folder, String fileName) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Media.MediaController.GetFileFromProvider(Int32 portalId, IFolderInfo oFolder, String fileName) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Media.MediaInfo.get_WebFriendlyUrl() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Media.MediaMarkUpUtility.GetQuicktimeMarkUp(MediaInfo Media, ModuleInfo ModuleConfig) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Media.MediaController.DisplayMedia(Int32 moduleId, Int32 tabId, Boolean isEditable, ModuleInfo config, PortalSettings settings) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Media.MediaModule.BindData() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Media.MediaModule.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I can't determine what parameter is null. I can see the mp4 file in File Manager okay. Originally, I did not have .mp4 in IIS or in DNN, but I have added it now and restarted IIS, cleared cache and recycled the app pool. Any ideas appreciated.

Just tried .jpg images with same resulting error message. Machine is localhost.

Seems that you can only use media in a root or first level folder - so this module has a big bug!

Yes! I upgraded to version 4.4 and DNN 7.0.6 and it fixed my previous problems. However, when I move the media down one level deeper in the folder structure, that error appears.

Also, I noticed that for .mp4 files playing from a DNN directory the settings of the width and height must be at least as big as the video width and height, otherwise the video does not appear. No auto-scaling, apparently, as it seems to be using Quicktime code in my case.

The folder issue bug only appeared in DNN 7.  I have not yet had time to trouble shoot it, but hope to be able to do so soon.
