Are there any Chat/IM modules that, (A) don't cost a fortune, and (B) can be installed just like most modules, straight through the skim upload wizard, and/or require little or no coding from the back end?

We use SwirlChat. It's decent, works well with 6.2.5 (at least) and is/was relatively cheap. Not sure if they are still selling it or not.

Unfortunately it hasn't been updated in forever. This is a shame because it's a perfect candidate for social integration.

Ok, I will check it out.  The site I am working with is a version 7.0. Do you know if it will work with this version?
It has the source code listed as $169, do I have to have that for it to work or just buy the module?

I'm not using 7.0 yet, so I can't say for sure.  However, I'd be willing to bet that it will work just fine.

 You don't need to have the source code, just the module.

Ok, We purchased the Swirlchat module, but it's requiring a license. I followed the link to the license, and it appears that now, we have to buy a license for another $40, is this true or am I missing a step?
