Well, Ultimate Media Gallery from BizModules is probably the closest. However I don't think many gallery modules support the profile/group/journal concept very well yet. Social Images seems to be the first that is specifically for this purpose.

That's correct Jeff - beta is this weekend with a release date 1 week later.

It will also be cheaper than the EasyDNN solution with no restrictions on how many portals you can put it on..

This is a demo from 2 months ago (a lot of development has happened since then):

What it will not is an admin style module where users bulk upload images. This is a pinterest style module that forces people to describe/categorize their image upon upload. Then others can comment, like, pin (favourite) photos.

It will be DNN 7 only.
