After upgrading, I was able to access the home page of the default portal. I refreshed the screen a couple of times.

After that, I tried to navigate to sub-pages and got the following error in the URL:

http://servername/Default.aspx?tabid=40&error=An%20unexpected%20error%20has%20occurred&content=0

Now I cannot load any pages - all return the same error.

Any ideas on where to start troublehooting this?

Figured this out.

It was a combination of missing handler mappings in web.config for the Telerik.Web.UI components and the app pool configuration.

I had to back out the upgrade, do it again and set the application pool to .Net 4.0/Classic (not Integrated mode).

That doesn't mean my upgrade woes are over, there are numerous issues with the upgrade on this version. But at least I can now load the site, login, navigate and start working on the growing number of issue (they seem to be very much related to skin handling and JQuery issue so far)

It's a good thing this is our test environment and not production! Frustating!!
