Hello I am currently undergoing reflection on investment in training because I must create a collaborative extranet portal solution and for that I clearly referred dnn7 and 2 cms drupal 7, regarding the reliability of the open source version because I do not want not use the paid version of other dnn7 would be off budget for me because I had experience with magento cms open source and 1.7 in the bug really been too many and not stable. So to avoid wasting my time my question is if dnn7 free version and really reliable and durable for me to engage in project

or is it just a version that allows you to test the functionality powerful enough but production will not be stable for drupal 7 and very stable, but the working time is not the same

thank you for your expert replies

You'll find that most DotNetNuke websites run on the community edition of the platform, so I would say, you are safe running with the free/community/open source edition of the platform.

There are advantages to the paid Professional and Enterprise editions of DotNetNuke, but if you don't have the budget for those, you simply don't have the budget.

The versions are very similar, so you are getting close to the same product in the community (free) edition.

We use the professional version here at work for our intranet but only because we needed some paid support for those times when things go wrong. We haven't had any, just small things that were expected.

Check out DNN and don't worry about the stability. It's a solid product and you shouldn't have any issues.

All dnn versions are based on the same core source code.  As such the community and professional versions are maintained in the same code base. So if a patch or update is applied to one version it is applied to all versions.

What is different in the Professional versions is that some of the core modules - like HTML module have additional features added to them.
