Hi all,

I've come in to work the last 2 mornings to find my DNN powered intranet unavailable and showing the following message:

This site is currently Unavailable
Please check back later

Restarting the app pool seems to bring the site up but I need to find the root cause.

The only recent change I've made was to increase the time out for the site from 20 minutes to 25 minutes.

I looked over the logs on the server and don't see anything but I admit I may not be looking in the correct place.

Does anyone know how I can trouble shoot this?

Thanks,
Mark

If you find a way please let me know! I have one site that does it very very randomly, it'll go months at a time, then it will have problems. It has a web server and SQL server that are two different servers, though I have other sites with the same configuration (just different machines) and they don't experience it.

Just as a followup, I typically find the problem I have is that the DB can't connect, but recycling the application pool fixes this.

I don't know, but perhaps this occurs for me after Windows Updates run on the DB server?

Support said the error typically occurs when the site can't connect to the database and that's why recycling the app pool fixes it. Coincidentally I have another website on the same server that connects to the same sql server (they are on seperate servers) and it had an error same day but corrected itself by the time I got to it.

I'm going to follow up with support and my network group to see if we can track it down.
