I have content that worked fine prior to the upgrade to 7.0 and now 7.0.2. The HTML contained comment tags. If they remain unedited they work fine... but if I switch to HTML view in the editor they switch to the <!-- and --> and are displayed in the live content. In addition any new comments added get rendered this way and show up as well.

Not sure if this makes a difference... This is happening in a DNN installation that was upgraded from a 6.0 version to 7.0. I just did a test and this does not happen in an installation that was a fresh DNN 7.0 install.

Tested this in a DNN Installation I have for testing upgrades prior to performing upgrades on my Live installations. Problem exists there as well. Ran upgrade to 7.00.03 and problem still remains. Using the DotNetNuke.RadEditorProvider. Running an MSSQL2005 database.

As I said before these were upgrades to 7.0. I have an installation on another server that was a clean install to 7.0 that is runnning a MSSQL2008 DB. That has not yet been upgraded past 7.0 and works fine with no Comment tag issues.

I can't be the only person seeing this!

Is this an issue of Running MSSQL2005 rather than MSSQL2008?

Is it a bug in the upgrade versus the fresh install?

I realize that the HTML Comments showing up is a relatively minor issue... however, I have page content with lots of comments and also items I wanted to have temporarily commented out and if I edit those pages in the HTML view I now have a mess.

Can someone at least confirm or deny seeing this issue as well?

What is really strange is that in doing some more tests I have found that this only seems to be effecting the HTML Comment tag... and more specifically the < and > within that tag. In HTML view I typed in a few HTML tags... a break, an ancor, and a comment. Only the < and > of the comment tag were altered upon saving the content.
