Hi,

I am getting the following error when trying to upgrade my Dev site on Windows XP SP3 computer:

Server Error in '/DotNetNuke' Application.

The specified cryptographic algorithm is not supported on this platform.

Anyone have any ideas on this error? I would really like to upgrade to 7.0.3 to fix jquery issues.

Hey Chris,

Did you ever figure out what was causing this error? I'm getting the same thing on my local dev machine trying to go from 6.2.6 to 7.0.6

WinXP, IIS 7.5 Express, SQL Server 2008 R2. .NET 4.0

try to Change the Trust mode. 

Did you use any Athentication Providers e.g. AD Provider or 3rd party modules?
