Hi

I have just tried to upgrade my web site to version 6.2.6 and got the following message after the install (which seemed to go OK). I get the following error on the site even if I have set the customErrors mode="Off"

Looking at the EventLog table I get the log properties below

Can anyone help to identify what is wrong and how I fix it? The localhost upgrade went perfectly....

From what DotNetNuke version did you upgrade to 6.2.6?

The error is a rather generic one with many possible causes. I do recall fixing one site for a client who was receiving the same error message following an upgrade from DNN 5.x to 6.1.x. In that case some of the DDR Menu related files had failed to install - in fact the entire /admin/Menus/DNNActions folder was missing.

Do you have acces to the site's MS SQL database using a tool such as MS SQL Server Management Studio? If so, please check the EventLog table for related errors.

Hi William

I was trying to upgrade from 5.6.8 to 6.2.6 which worked perfectly on my localhost site. Unfortunatley I have had to get the database and site restored from backup. I am just changng the hosting config in WEBECS so that i can backup and restore my own DB rather than having to pay to restore it :-(. When done I will attempt to re-install and will update

Hi William

I have restored my web site back to a previous version, copied it to my localhost and tried to upgrade to 6.2.6 again and still get this error. During the upgrade  the following modules failed to install - I copied contents of the upgrade zip over the root directory and run the normal 

any ideas?
