Folks,

Environment: DNN 7.0.2, Blog 5.0.3

In the control panel for the blog module, I have associated the "Category Vocabulary Root" to a proper vocabulary list. The next field is a checkbox "Allow Multiple Categories." When the checkbox is checked, everything seems to work fine. However, I want each blog entry to have only one category. If I uncheck the checkbox, click on update, and come back to the control panel once again, I see that the checkbox stays checked.

In the event viewer, I see an error. The inner exception is TotalRecords. The stack trace is basically System.IndexOutofRangeException: TotalRecords at System.Data.ProviderBase.FieldNameLookup.GetOrdinal.

I have a feeling the exception is related to the problem I have. However, I would appreciate your thoughts on what could be happening.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Regards,
Peter

Looking at the stack trace more carefully, it appears DNN is trying to get the ordinal for database column that does not exist in the database table.

Our website has been functional for the past few years and I keep upgrading it from time to time. I wonder if the new upgrade somehow did not create a column that was required by the blog module.

Any thoughts?

Appreciate your help.

Regards,
Peter
