I am attempting to get Active Directory Auto-Login to work on IIS 8.0.
If I login via the form login (/login.aspx) with the AD username and password it authenticates fine and creates the account if needed.
If I use the WindowsSignin.aspx the Windows Security dialog presents itself and does not recognize the same credentials as used in the form method.
Any suggestions? Not sure what additional information I should provide considering the AD login is working but not in the auto-login.

  • IIS: 8.0
  • DNN: 07.00.03 (64)
  • NET Framework: 4.0
  • SQL: MSSQL 2012
  • DNNPro_ActiveDirectoryAuthentication: 7.0.3
  • WindowsSignin.aspx: Windows Authentication Enabled, Forms Authentication Enabled (Locked), others disabled

Are you trying to log in on a client or the server via WindowsSignin.aspx? I've heard of people having issues when trying to login from the server so if possible I'd test with a client.

That said, when you get the popup you have to enter your credentials as DOMAIN\Username because it's IIS that's generating the popup and not DotNetNuke. If the site is in your trusted or intranet sites list you shouldn't get the popup but I've had no chance to do any testing against Server 2012.
