I am new to this only because I have a user that if familiar with your application and I support the server.  So, I want to familerize myself with your application.  I downloaded the application .....so, now what?  Is there a setup to run, what do i do to get this application to work?  Thanks

You should also download the DOCS associated with the application. There are a number of options for installing DNN. With its flexibility and options, comes some complexity.

It should take you a little way to read through the installation guide in the DOCS download. Then give it a try, installing a SQL Server DB, and IIS application, updated Web.config file with the SQL Server login information.

Do some test installs on a local server.

The power of DNN, comes after the installation. You can dynamically lay out pages in your new new website, then insert modules on the pages to support content. Start with the HTML module, then branch out.
