Hi,

I am new to DNN and setting up first set of skins for a portal, not for the main DNN installation.

Looking through the skinning guide and using the ASCX method, I noticed that the logo.ascx file is referenced like this:

<%@Register.... src="~/Admin/Skins/logo.ascx" %>

Is that how I have to do it for all portals? We plan on having many portals and I guess my question is why I am loading an ASCX file from the ~/Admin/skins/ area? Looking at the .cs file it looks like it pulls settings from site configuration.  I am wondering if it's possible to load the logo from the CSS file itself.

Sorry if I am sounding all over the place.  I just need to get one portal going and I will have a much better idea.

Thanks.

< %@Register.... src="~/Admin/Skins/logo.ascx" %> references the Logo skin object, which displays the logo specified in Site Settings, which is most common for skins sold in the store. If you are creating a custom skin for a single website, you may include the logo directly in the skin, if you like.
