How do I make the default "Forgot Password" NOT pop up a modal for the form for resetting a user password, but INSTEAD just send them to a page with the form instead?

Question to consider but not looking for an answer: Why does DNN force these sorts of things and assume that this is a desired user interface approach for everyone's website? If you are providing a skinnable CMS, provide these default selections as easily modifiable options -- not difficult to change and practically forced behaviour.

Good question Mike, because this feature dose not work for mobile devices.

Oh really? .. well that's not going to fly with my colleagues and our associates that use DNN's ability for authentication. We are about to launch a big project and trying to tie up loose ends and this was one that almost slipped through had I not caught it's behaviour as being problematic.

Not that I was expecting to have a quick turn around answer to this,.. but I think I have found a javascript hack in the meantime.

With javascript, after the content is loaded, I remove the onClick attribute on the anchor tag. That forces it to load the forgot password form fields in a refresh of the login page, in the place of where the login and password credentials are.

Not the most elegant solution, but .. really neither is DNN on the whole. LOL

Well I guess you could try unticking the checkbox...

Site Settings | Advanced | Usability Settings | Enable Popups.
