Hi

I have a process that I want to complete using modules (preferably free modules). I'm thinking Form and List? Maybe? I donno, seems like a stretch. Here it is...

  1. I arrive on a dnn page from a cell phone. The cell phone has already matched its gps coordinates to a location stored on the device that has the dnn page url (which is how I arrive at my dnn page). I'd like to imbed a parameter into the stored url so that the dnn page knows which location I'm coming from. I'm just not sure what form this url should take yet.
  2. The dnn page knows the location so shows the user form selections filtered by that location. Like "Here are your contacts at this location: (dropdown list)" and then the next drop down (on same page or next page) is filtered by the two previous selections/parameters (location == ExampleLocation AND contact == Bob). Maybe that last drop down has a list of cars or something so in the end you can submit a record that combines 3 separate groups of data.

I know I can create separate pages for each location and hardcode the drop downs with straight Javascript but I'd like to make it so I'm maintaining as few pages as possible and that an office manager can add to the group options and also generate reports based on standard queries. Modules are a more friendly approach for this I think. Plus I can regulate security easier.

Any suggestions?
Thanks
Mike
