Hi All,
This is slightly embarrassing but I cannot see a way of moving an item from the admin area of control panel to the host area. Surely there must be a way of doing this? Basically I want to give admin level users of a site a 'cut down' view - removing things like Taxonomy from their menu and putting it on the Host menu instead.
I would have thought I could do it via page settings but it seems you can only move things either within the standard / admin pages group or within host pages group - you can't get a list of both types of page.
Any advice please?   Site is at DNN 6.2.6.

Thanks,
Graham

Because of the way HOST tabs are setup - you should never try to move a host tab - basically they are stored without reference to any portal.

Instead - what you need to do is create NEW tabs on your admin menu - and copy the modules only from the HOST tabs.

I agree that moving Host tabs would be a bad plan. BUT that's not what I want to do:  I'm trying to go the other way - moving from Admin TO  Host.
So I'm saying "although this would normally be an admin function I want to reserve it to the host".
How can I achieve that?

Create a new tab on the host menu - and install the modules you need on there - the Add Existing Module option should work to let you copy the module from the admin page - this will save having to stuff around with module hosting settings to make them visible in the module selector

Wow! I never even thought about doing this! Didn't realize you could add additional pages to the Host Menu.

I may have to do this (could solve some issues of not wanting Site Admins to access certain tools but still let me, superuser, access them).
