Hi All.

If someone here speaks any language other than English, please help us out with testing the Microsoft language translation module on the right side of all pages on:

www.curbkicked.com

After testing it for a few minutes, could you please comment here and let me know how accurate it is?

I'm curious to know how smart it is and whether it's worth keeping on the site assuming everybody reports back good accuracy?

Also, if everyone likes it, I'm thinking of wrapping it as a DNN module and give it away for free...any thoughts?

Warm regards,

BTW, I have tried uploading a screenshot and the popup file dialog will not allow me to upload anything. Any ideas on this point as well?

Can someone try to upload an image to the post? I don't know that it my machine. The file upload works fine on curbkicked.com

Hi Joe,

English is my only language so I can't give you an opinion on the modules effectiveness.  However, since it is Microsoft I got to believe that it is a reasonable translator.  I wish to encourage you to build the DNN module. And, if your post is actually semi-clever disguised spam for the site... I'm OK with it.

Hi Peter.

Thank you for the feedback.  No, it's not a spam attempt. I am testing this feature on the site before we launch our Kickstarter project in a few days and needed mult-lingual feedback from the community as to the accuracy.

We've been testing google's translate service as well as they seem to render similar results.

I have been getting feedback from some users stating that certain languages are heavy on the gibberish, however I am told it is good enough to get the site's point across to the reader. Which I guess is all we can hope for, getting the message across on a website.

Because of the previously mentioned, I am going to go ahead and wrap it this weekend as a DNN module and post it in the DNN store for free.

Free because it's microsoft's product, I just did the wrapping and styling.

Will post back once I get it uploaded to the dnn store so everyone can have it.

Again, thanks for the feedback!

Warm regards,
