Hi all, I need some help with something please!!

I have 2 websites:

Website A is a DNN website, website B isnt. B is a simple one page website that is connected to the DNN SiteSqlServer server to retrieve information from 2 tables I have created with a module on Site A.

What I want to be able to do, is a login section on Website B that uses the same users from Site A.

  • I could wire up a session return variable from A to B but that's dangerous and could leave wide gaps in security.
  • or modify a custom login module to add SQL to another table with a random key and pass back that key and have that expire 5 seconds later and/or delete the key then set up session value for displayname - does that cause a threat?
  • or hope someone has already done something similar before and if so, do you have the code please or the module name?

Thoughts please?
