i'd clear the search tables (http://www.deutschnetnuke.de/tabid/13...) and re-index the site. also make sure, the indexing process has finished before the next run is started (decrease frequency of the scheduler job)

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold

I am having the same error as the original poster. I went ahead and cleared my search tables as Sebastian suggested and re-indexed my content. It worked fine in my dev environment so I did it in prod. However, in prod... I am getting the following error and cannot search any content on any of my sites.... ahhhhh, please help.

InnerException: The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "FK_SearchItemWord_SearchWord". The conflict occurred in database "DotNetNuke", table "dbo.SearchWord", column 'SearchWordsID'. The statement has been terminated.

I noticed that Sebastian posted on another site to:
clear the search tables, add a unique index constraint on SearchItemWordID and ContentPosition and re-index your site.

What does adding the Unique index constraint do? At this point, I'm afraid to run anymore scripts against the production database... but that is the only place it is happen...

Also, how would I add a unique index constraint?

Thanks

Ok - I think I fixed it.

I noticed it did add one row to the SearchWord table but then that is when it stopped adding.  The content in the Word column had odd characters include a pound sign and a period sign.  I removed those odd characters and re-indexed the site and it added the content successfully.

Thanks,

Tanya
