I unzipped and copied in the new upgrade contents and went to the site URL as instructed in the new upgrade protocols.  The wizard did not kick off, just errored, (can't remember exactly what error at the time) but after some initial problems, went directly to the /install/install.aspx URL and the installation wizard kicked off.  It looked like the old wizard interface though.  Anyway, it completed - no errors reported, but when I went to the site (click the link) I started getting 'could not load telerik '  errors.

I have manually copied in the new Telerik assemblies and changed the redirect in web.config.  Now I get this error.

[NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.] DotNetNuke.Common.Globals.get_Status() +136 DotNetNuke.HttpModules.RewriterUtils.OmitFromRewriteProcessing(String localPath) +55 DotNetNuke.HttpModules.RequestFilter.RequestFilterModule.FilterRequest(Object sender, EventArgs e) +205 System.Web.SyncEventExecutionStep.System.Web.HttpApplication.IExecutionStep.Execute() +181 System.Web.HttpApplication.ExecuteStep(IExecutionStep step, Boolean& completedSynchronously) +164

And app_offline.htm does not load.

where can I look next?

Thanks in advance.

Did you unlock the upgrade.zip before you unpacked it - it feels like there are maybe files missing.

The zips did not seem to be locked.  I unzipped them ok and am able to access the telerik file ok.

I have rolled the site back but still want to upgrade.

I am just copying the new upgrade files over the old ones.

after downloading the zip, right click the file and select properties. If there is a message on the bottom of first tab about this file being downloaded from the internet, please check "unblock" prior to unzipping the package.

Cheers from Germany,
