HI,

DNN version : 6.0.1 Community Edition

.net Framework 3.5

i am trying to create a development and testing environment for a portal. i have separated Dev and Live Site Directories  of DNN site but main problem is database.

can i use single database for both Dev and Live website ... if i bring changes in Dev DB than it wont reflect any changes on Live Site DB ??

suggest me a best way to solve this issue ....

Can you use the same database? yes, should you? No way.

I would recommend you backup and restore a new DB name, and use that restored copy for development.

Keep 3 completely seperate environments to minimize issues between your DNN installs.
