Thanks Chris.  We will check ContentItems.  However DynamicRegistration is only an example of the module install error  as the same error occurs with any module we try to install.  So if you have any more ideas or places to check – it would be appreciated.

contentitem might be affected by any module you are trying to install. did you try to perform a DNN upgrade, before this error occurred for the first time?

Fortunately we have resolved the issue and have been able to install the modules. What happened is that there were duplicate entries in one of the related lookup tables (ContentTypes) so duplicates were deleted and we were able to install the module. Thanks again for your help!

it sounds like a unique index should be on that table to ensure that it doesn't happen again (in cases where multiple modules duplicate settings), please log this with as much detail as possible to support.dotnetnuke.com so we can fix it in a future release.
