Hi,

I have this class on my custom module.

using System;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using System.Linq;
using System.Web;
using System.IO;
using System.Text;

public class JSONHelper
{
    public static string Serialize<T>(T obj)
    {
        System.Runtime.Serialization.Json.DataContractJsonSerializer serializer = new System.Runtime.Serialization.Json.DataContractJsonSerializer(obj.GetType());
        MemoryStream ms = new MemoryStream();
        serializer.WriteObject(ms, obj);
        string retVal = Encoding.Default.GetString(ms.ToArray());
        ms.Dispose();
        return retVal;
    }

    public static T Deserialize<T>(string json)
    {
        T obj = Activator.CreateInstance<T>();
        MemoryStream ms = new MemoryStream(Encoding.Unicode.GetBytes(json));
        System.Runtime.Serialization.Json.DataContractJsonSerializer serializer = new System.Runtime.Serialization.Json.DataContractJsonSerializer(obj.GetType());
        obj = (T)serializer.ReadObject(ms);
        ms.Close();
        ms.Dispose();
        return obj;
    }
}

In a normal ASP.NET Web application this class works is, but in my customs module for dotnetnuke 7, an error is showed at "System.Runtime.Serialization.Json".

Apparently, Json is not within the "System.Runtime.Serialization" package. Why this error in dotnetnuke?

Best regards.

Hi,

Have you added the reference of  "System.Runtime.Serialization" in your module.
If not then try after adding this dll.

Thanks,
