Hi, I have realized my users can not reset/retrieve their passwords. Having clicked the Retrieve Password button on the login screen, users get an email with their profile information but the password is hidden with asterisks. So what is the user to do here ?! This info sent to him is practically useless because he still doesn't remember the password. Also, I am not sure how to use the reset password feature...

FYI in 7.1.0 we are changing to a model where all users get password reset links and no mails will be sent with passwords (this is better for general security, and also it supports both encrypted and hashed password models)

I think the asterisk come from a modified resource file to avoid sending passwords by email in clear text. Please check the GlobalResources.resx file or the SharedResources.resx file (actually I don't know where to find it exactly, but I am quite sure it is one of these two).

Propably someone has created a specific resource file for your portal or installation. In this case you can find the original template (with the clear password) in the system resource file.
