Added 300+ pages to mu DNN 7 and admin became just too slow.  I mean for Page Management to load it takes about 40-50 seconds.

It is nearly impossible to update content on the site - way too slow. What can I do? Anything I can do to increase speed?

I have deleted the event log.

Please help. I vouched for dnn, cause that's what we have been using at my prev job, and now I am the one stuck administering it.

Did you ever figure anything out an answer for you website?  We upgraded a site to 7.0.5 that has over 10,000 pages and running into the same issue.  This currently is a test site but trying to solve the slowest that we are seeing.  It seems once we are logged in as Host or Admin the request wait times are very long.  I installed a fresh version of 7.0.5 and seems to work without any issues but don't have the number of pages that the upgrade has.  I did some debugging and noticed a bunch of Warnings after turning on log4net to all just to see if I could figure out what is taking pages so long to load.  We have a bunch of custom modules that we don't do any localization for.  I did see <add key="ShowMissingKeys" value="false" /> making sure this is set to false so would not think any type of key checks would still happen but it might be?

Example:

do not use DNN content localization on sites with large number of pages.

If you switch to the old control panel (Host > Host Settings > Other Settings > Control Panel = ICONBAR), does it help?

I did find out.
Host>Host Settings>Advanced Settings tab under Performance. I changed the Page State Persistance to Page, the Cache Setting to Moderate, and the Authenticated Cachebility to ServerAndNoCache.
