Hi Avinash,

This issue haunted me for a long time,
I followed your suggestion still no success
And the only way out is deleting the virtual directories, as per my knowledge.

Cheers..!!!

Hi there. I wanted ask you if you was able to fix this problem "could not load file or assembly 'dotnetnuke.httpmodules' or one of its dependencies". Please if you fix it let me know how you did that. In advance I really appreciate your help. Thanks.

Hi

For this issue, I have found only one solution is to move your external javascript and stylesheet files to your
-websiteroot\Resources\Shared\scripts
- websiteroot\Resources\Shared\stylesheets
and do respective changes in path where you are including these files as well as in your manifest(.dnn) file.

Thanks

Hi,
I may have found a solution to this issue.

I didn´t want to load *.JS or *.CSS but images and ran into the same Errors. I think, they have the same reason. I cannot exactly explain what the reason ist due to not fully understanding the functioning of IIS but there seem to be some web.config contradictions.

Preconditions to my Solution:
-installed DNN Webportal
-DNN Module developmentproject outside of DNN Portal Directory
-Loaded dnndev.me Webside inside Visual Studio (2013) set to main Solution
-added DNN Module developmentproject to dnndev.me Webside inside Visual Studio (not as main solution of course)
-unchecked dnndev.me Webside in build configurations
-Built DNN Module developmentproject and installed this DNN Module in DNN Webportal <--important for Databaseentrys, Module registration...

So basically its allready possible to start this hole Project in debug mode, as long, as you do not try to load any files from your Server.
The solution to this is to get rid of the Webapplication of your DNN Module developmentproject but have the Module still installed in the Portal. Basically phsically separate the Module Project from the Webportal and connect them virtually.

-open IIS Manager, navigate to dnndev.me\desktopmodules
-if your current Moduleproject is an Application, rightclick an delete it. the Allication turns into a folder of your Project.

-on your desktop open up a fileexplorer and navigate to the desktopmodules directory of your website and delete the folder with your DNN Module
-go back to IIS -> dnndev.me/desktopmodules and delete the Folder with your DNN Module

-rightclick desktopmodules -> add vitual directory
-as Alias give it the name of your DNN Module
-as phsical path the directory of your Moduledevelopmentproject folder

remember: the Module is still installed in your Webportal!
Output path in Visual Studio of your Moduledevelopment Project is the bin folder of your DNN Website.
After an Application restart (e.g. by creating and deleting a file/folder in bin folder of your website) it should work.

greetings
