Hello Experts

i want to divide my dnn db into two database ,one is dot net nuke default and one is custom database , 

dot net nuke db will contains all the default tables of dnn and custom database will contain the info of my cusom modules

in my custom module tables there is two column which is portal id and module id i want to know if i remove this column what impact can be on my site.

or what functionality i will not able to use.. is it possible

It's not a DNN question. DNN does not care how many databases you use.

If your current tables rely on referential integrity to DNN tables then you will need a way of replacing that.

If you rely on transactional integrity between the DNN tables and your tables then you will need a way of replacing that.

Nothing. Your modules will simply point to the 2nd database. DNN doesn't care as long as the connections can be made.
