Hi,

Unfortunately no I haven't sorted it out, I have raised a ticket but nothing has worked as yet.

We did find that one of the servers had ran out of disk space so have cleared that down but that didn't work either.

I don't actually have access to the servers so doing anything and checking anything can be a long winded process.

I will keep you updated but do please let me know if you come up with anything.

Thanks.

Jacqui.

I tried against another portal and the admin site setting saves for the 2nd portal but not our main portal still. I also changed the skins in hopes that could have been creating the issue. Wish we could dig deeper in the 500 error that I get back from the browser when I save on the admin site settings page. I will keep you posted Jacqui. Also if anyone else has any ideas that would be great!

Hi,

I was talking to DotNetNuke Support today.

Although I had tried both several times they suggesting putting the Page State Persistence type in Host Settings/Advanced Settings to Memory although it says that gives ajax issues.

Anyway that has done the trick for 90% of the issues, we can now save settings etc.

The only thing we can't do is upload files, that is still giving the same issue but I am talking to our server guys about that later today.

Hope the update helps and will keep you posted

Jacqui.

I had some help but we figured out how to save again. It seems that you have to change the size of maxRequestLength="204800" requestLengthDiskThreshold="204800" inside of httpRuntime. Why the viewstates are so large I am not clear but happy that my admin area is working again.
