I am making a skin in DNN7; I can't seem to get a simple stock DNN menu to work. Are there any menus out there that are simple and stock that come with or work with DNN7?

Hi,

There are menus like DNNMenuNavigationProvider, DDRMenuNavigationProvider that comes with DNN7. You can also install other menus like DNNDropDownNavigationProvider and ASP2MenuNavigationProvider by going to Admin -> AdvancedSettings -> Providers

Thanks,

I would stick with default DDRMenu, please check out documentation in the Wiki on this site and the project microsite on Codeplex.
