I am very new to dnn.  I am trying to build my first skin.  The css files that i am modifying are working, but when i make a change to the htm file, the layout does not change.  Is there something i am missing.

After i created the skin via website -> add new item -> Skin Package, i made the necessary file name changes as directed by the intro page.  Now how do i change that html layout?

This is strange, but there is no ascx file being added when i add the item to my project.  Without this I dont see an easy way to create a skin.  Is this a bug or is there something that i am missing.

Dear rodmjay2

Have you try to delete the skin?
And .Zip the necessary files and upload them?

I'm new to this as well but I think that the .xml and .htm files generate the .ascx when you either upload or parse the skin.  Then the .ascx file is used to display the skin.  Again I'm not 100% sure but while I'm fooling around with layouts I've been able to just edit the .ascx file to make changes to my skin without having to upload/parse the .xml and .htm files every single time I want to see what I just screwed up - a simple page refresh works.
