Hi, I know this is probaly very simple and i am somehow missing  it , but how can I set up a content editor role that allows them to edit the pages and add modules but cannot modify site settings etc.

I can see where you can create new roles and users but where / how do you set the permisions for the new editor role??.

Hi,

create a role "ContentEditors" and assign the desired users to this role. Then on the page(s) assign edit permissions to this role.

You have to this for every page where this role should be able to do this.

Best wishes

You now may set permissions for these "users" to define who can do what for Drupal core features and contributed modules. For example, you probably won't want casual visitors to edit your homepage. However, the site owner or trusted user should be able to do so.

Drupal allows you to setup any number of different kinds of users or 'Roles'. Many websites have editor and site administrator roles; editors to make content updates and site admins to install new modules and make larger configuration changes.

This is the DotNetNuke Forum, not Drupal. The feature you describe has always been in DNN, so why are you trying to convine someone to better use Drupal?

Best wishes
