I've lost some default prompts on my DNN 7 installation. For example
the "Password:" is missing from the default login. Other prompts such as the "Email Adress" on the default login are just fine.

I think the loss is related to a .resx file, but it could be something else. Can anyone tell me where the TabControl on the DesktopControls/Authentication/login.ascx is getting its prompt for "Password:" or what the possible issue could be with my install?

Thanks

that value is likely taken from /App_GlobalResources/SharedResources.resx

Best you can do is to install a fresh dnn of the same version side by side, then do a compare of the 2 directories, (filtered on .resx files), and fix every file that is missing keys, or maybe even completely missing
