I cannot get past step 1 in the installation wizard. ( I can install DNN 6 onto this server with no problems and I can install DNN 7 onto my home PC with no issues, but on the webserver it is failing.)

1. i notice none of the  help icons work, ( __doPostBack('lblConfirmPassword$cmdHelp','')) Just cause a post back with no help popup. Makes me think there is a script issue perhaps.

2. I keep getting Object qualifier is required error, and on the same screen Database connection error. I can connect fine to the DB with the connection string using another app.

Any ideas...

please make sure, the application pool of your IIS website is running .Net 4. Other issues may be caused by improper MIME type declaration, cache and compression settings.

OK I cannot get past step one either and I have instll several previous versoins of DDN on 2003 with sql 2005 std.

This machine is 2008 R2, SQL 2008 Expres IIS 7 and all network Service permission have bee applied. IIS Application pool is pointed to the right folder with proper permission. Nothing works I can at leas get to the Verifying database no matter what I choose .\SQLExpress is not a valid user when I choose SA mix mode for sql or Integrated Auth. This SUCKS it used to be a lot easier.

Even the Web Installer 4.5 cannot get the SQL Express to connect. If I cannot get this going I am going to have to revert back toe Apache and some other CMS.
