I am trying to install dotnetnuke on a windows server 2003.  When I follow the instructions in the install manual http://localhost/dotnetnuke I get the error "You are not authorized to view this page".  I am an administrator on the server.  I have also added myself under the security on the physical directory for the site.  Any ideas?

I tried to open and build the solution from my remote machine but it complains about the "Network Service account" does not have permissions to create etc.  The Network Service Account has full permissions.

Any Ideas as this has been days now.

I assume your using the Install package as opposed to the Starter Kit.  Is it possible that the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security that is enabled by default on a 2003 server may be causing the problem?  Make sure that your local intranet sites are allowed in your browsers trusted sites.

You are correct, enhanced security is enabled.  I will check on the web as to how to allow the local sites.  I am a programmer and do not have much knowledge about the server.  i am trying to load the portal so we can do a group development project.

Thank you for your help
