Hi all, we are experiencing some strange issues with our DNN install. We are getting hundreds of Page Load Exceptions each day. These are being generated when google and bing spider our site. The problem is that they are looking for pages that don't exist. The URLs that they are looking for combine pages from two separate portals. For instance, we will see something that looks like this: "The file '/centennial/MountainBaseCamp.aspx' does not exist". Now, we do have a child portal called centennial and we do have a page called MountainBaseCamp.aspx but that page lives on a different child portal.

In addition, our crawl errors in Google have skyrocketed and keep going higher. Also, for some unknown reason many of the pages within our child portals are out of order.

This morning we upgraded to DNN Pro, 6.2.8. We are running .Net 4.0.

Here's one of the errors:

In some cases it appears that the page may have existed at one time but doesn't exist now. However, in most cases the pages never existed in the location shown in the path. The ASPX page is on one site and the child portal root is on a different site.

Ex: The file '/financialaid/ParkingMiscellaneousInformation/SnowWarning.aspx' does not exist.

The path shows the child portal as Financial Aid but the ParkingMiscellaneousInformation/SnowWarning.aspx is on the Police and Parking child portal. We have hundreds of these errors each day.

The site maps that google has on file seem to be correct. When you go to Google Webmaster tools and view the site map the pages are right. But when it spiders the site they are all messed up.

Thanks,

-s

Are you able to see what your /sitemap.ascx is generating. It may possibly be an issue of some sort in that area.
