I think there must be some debug code that was either brought up from my upgrade, or left in with DNN 7.1.

I was getting the same exact error, unable to load Host and Site settings pages. However I was also getting several other errors, the first being a dependency on NUnit 2.2.0 that was missing.

I went here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/nunit/files/NUnit%20Version%202/V2.2/

Grabbed the Mono package so I could just get the dll, threw it in my /bin, and presto, the pages began firing.

Hopefully this helps.

Looks to me the upgrade package was not UNBLOCKED before extracting the files!  So Windows blocks extracting executables .

I've gone back and reviewed the upgrade package. What executable are you referring to? If you just mean the DLL's, yes, they were extracted.

If there is an actual exe included in the upgrade process, I would question why it is there to begin with.

Well I mean the DLL's files.  If they all correct Extrakt, check your permissions, and be sure your have set execute permissions for scripts and files on your IIS Handler settings.

HI,

I also had this issue. It was solved in the same way as mentioned. That is copying nunit dll to the bin folder. I am told that nunit is not used by the upgrade. It is not included in the zip file. Thus its not a permission issue. The only place I can find a mention of nunit is in a cleanup file 3.08 (i think). I guess that I and others may have a module or skin that refers to this dll.

I have been trying to find it but so far to no avail. I have uninstalled many modules, used the default skins and yet still have the same issue. Yet a new install works well.

Anyone any thoughts or know of a developer who might use this dll.

Thanks

Paul
