Thanks for the info Cathal. I will dig in and try and get back up to speed under the new scenario. We might not be able to upgrade this site in situ but we always manage to figure something out.

We did some custom XMP add-ons on this site that some folks might find helpful - top 3 searches here (http://www.mofga.net/Search/tabid/112/Default.aspx), then on the profile page (http://www.mofga.net/Profile/tabid/88/asuid/20/Default.aspx) the badge (fair vendor, there are many others you can have), the Contact pane and map, plus the Products, Services, and Media tabs. They should be available on the XMP site, but maybe you have those features in DNN now?

Is there a DNN forum for creating social sites? We never could have done it without those Active Modules forums and the great support from Will and crew.

thanks,

Will

See this post: http://www.dnnsoftware.com/answers/cid/303167/page/2

The AF DNNSoftware is working on and was planning on upgrading it's forums too is a modified one. AF is left for the community to work on. I could be, of course, wrong but that's the impression I get from the above post, unless something changed in the meeting Scott Willhite is talking about.

@Will Sugg:

Do not upgrade your website to lose ActiveModules. You will lose lot of features.

What DNN core provides us to replace ActiveModules is not upto the par.

Also, when I say abandoned, I mean by DNNsoftware and not by the community. The change set Cathal is talking about are by the community members and not by DNN employees. Jbrunken is ActiveModules customer who has some module dev. knowledge plus websites are hobby sites.

have u guys looked into this: https://dnnxchange.codeplex.com/

Looks promising.
